The Batter's Box began in 1983 as a batting range in Surfside Beach, SC, owned by George Sr. and George Karukas Jr. In 1997, George Jr. launched an online sporting good store at aluminumbats.com. The online store features a mix of aluminum, composite and wood bats from a wide range of leading manufacturers, as well as a large assortment of top quality baseball and softball equipment.

 

In November of 2006 The Batter's Box Plus became the "next leap" for George Jr. and his wife Karen.  Inside The Sports Corner of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is the new place to get your gear for basketball, football, volleyball, wrestling, bocce, badminton, any team sport imaginable.  With the knowledge of a sales staff including Mike Ryals, Sonny Cline and Nate Rohler there is more than 40 years experience selling to schools, colleges, recreation departments, travel teams and more.
